Maria am Wasser plot
After running away at a young age, Marcus returns to his native village after 22 years. His mother still runs the orphanage and his father has become an alcoholic. Because everyone, except the pastor, thought he had drowned, he pretends to be someone who came to the village especially to make the church's organ. While trying to revive the past, he meets the pleasantly deranged Elena, who gives him a glimpse of the future.
