Ray O'Brian is an outlaw on the run from Texas who is accused of murdering his wife. He is a subordinate of Camargo, a well-known bandit who has transformed himself into a general. There is also Riaño, a follower of Emperor Maximiliano, and his two cousins Francisca and Alfredo. Camargo is Espada's nemesis and wants to harm O'Brian. But Camargo takes revenge and raids Espada's village, even killing a child.
