Last Train from Bombay plot

American Ambassador Martin Viking arrives in India and is met at the train station by Mary Anne, daughter of British Colonel Frederick Palmer. Viking finds itself in a civil war. It turns out that there is a plot to oust an Indian prince and Brian O'Hara, an old Viking comrade from World War II, is involved. When O'Hara is mortally wounded, he can tell Viking about a deadly shipment of explosives aboard a train that is on its way to Bombay with the prince. The conspirators know that Viking knows about the plot and he is now their next target; in addition, Viking is accused of murdering O'Hara. To clear his name and end the civil war, Viking wants to save the prince.
