Golden Dawn plot

Dawn, once kidnapped as a child, lives among indigenous people in occupied Africa during the First World War. She falls in love with Tom Allen, an English rubber planter and prisoner of war of the Germans. Shep Keyes, a German officer, wants Dawn for herself, but learns that Dawn's ultimate destiny is to be sacrificed to the native god. When the English conquer the area, Keyes stirs up the tribe about Dawn's love for mortal Tom.
