What a terrible movie. The beginning seems promising, but it quickly falls flat. Robin is ready to die in a dignified manner, but lacks depth and tension here. Even Hugh Jackman fails to make this film worthy enough. This is certainly not a thriller, but it is a drama. Summary of this film: If you really want to see Robin Hood's death by bloodletting, then you have wasted far too much time in 120 minutes.

After a life of murder and plunder, the physically decrepit Robin Hood [Hugh Jackman], under the alias Randulph, ends up in the paradisiacal commune of Sister Brigid [Jodie Comer]. His peaceful final phase of life is disrupted by the arrival of Margaret [Faith Delaney], the daughter of Robin's companion Little John [Bill Skarsgård], and the appearance of Arthur [Noah Jupe], a ghost from Robin's recent past. This beautifully filmed and excellently acted melancholic drama does away directly and radically with the romantic image from earlier films, but is heavy-handed and on the slow side.
