"Cavalcade of Thrills and Romance"
After a call from Paula Castillo to the authorities about her father's murder, cavalryman John Carroll is sent to California at the behest of the president. He must ensure that the Guadelupe-Hidalgo Treaty is observed. This gives Mexicans the right to land illegally appropriated by Americans. Carroll wins the sympathy of the Mexicans and they unite to drive out the American occupiers.
