Buck Roberts, Sandy Hopkins and Jack Carson together form the 'Rough Riders'. The Rough Riders try to guide a caravan of settlers and railroad supplies safely through hostile Native American territory. Buck leads the caravan as a scout and Sandy and Jack work incognito. Sandy and Jack learn that white men dressed as Indians are attacking the caravan. These attackers are led by outlaw Jim Corkle, who gets his orders from city boss Chuck Loder. Loder does not want his city to be connected to the railway network.
