Deep in the Heart of Texas plot
"THE LAND WHERE LOVIN' AND LIVIN' DEPEND ON HOW FAST YOU CAN SHOOT!"
Jim Mallory returns to Texas after the end of the American Civil War. Jim must determine that his father, Colonel Mallory, is leading a gang of land thieves during this time of reconstruction. Jim learns this from newspaper publisher Jonathan Taylor, who advocates the overthrow of the regime of his corrupt father and sister Nan Taylor. Jim and his loyal friend Hapworth "Happy" T. Snodgrass rescue Taylor from Colonel Mallory's henchmen, led by Sergeant Idaho. Jim and Happy then support Brent Gordon, the Texas governor's representative, in his fight against Colonel Mallory's gang.
