Rio Rattler plot

A mortally wounded marshal gives his identification papers to Tom Denton. Tom arrives in a town and there he accidentally drops the papers. Tom is mistaken for the marshal and Tom decides to play along and assumes the marshal's identity. Mason, who had the marshal killed, now wants to see Tom underground too, and sends his accomplice Rattler after Tom. When he finds out that Tom is not a real marshal, Mason's plans change and he wants Tom to face the marshal's murder.
