Against the Current plot
Paul Thompson, a writer grappling with his tragic past, decides to set himself apart by doing something unique. He decides to swim 150 miles down the lower Hudson River, something he's always wanted to do. Together with his best friend Jef and new acquaintance Liz, he embarks on a physically and emotionally arduous journey, which brings them the beauty of true friendship, but also confronts them with sadness and setbacks.
