Herbert Vogel was a simple postal worker, who liked to read books and was somewhat self-taught. He is married to Dorothy, a highly educated woman who works in the library. So far nothing new. But Herbert and Dorothy managed, living on a modest income, to realize one of the most extensive and important modern art collections ever.
