L'Aube du Monde plot
The Mesopotamian swamps in the delta of the rivers Euphrates and Tigris, in southern Iraq, are where Mastour and Zahra, two young 'Marsh Arabs' grow up. Shortly after their wedding, Mastour and Zahra are forced to be separated when the Gulf War breaks out. On the battlefield, Mastour becomes good friends with Riad, a young soldier from Baghdad. When Mastour is mortally wounded, Riad pledges to protect Zahra when the war is over. When Riad arrives in the village, he falls madly in love with Zahra. But because she can't bear the loss of her husband, Zahra cuts herself off from everything and everyone...
