A Burning Passion: The Margaret Mitchell Story plot

The true story of Margaret Mitchell, author of the book "Gone with the Wind". At the turn of the 20th century, Margaret "Peggy" Mitchell grows up to be a young woman, her head full of the stories of the "Old South" told by her proud mother and grandmother. She falls in love with Clifford Henry, who is tragically killed during World War I. Margaret is distraught with grief, but then she is courted by the charmer Red Upshaw. Despite Red's disgraceful reputation and her family's opposition, Margaret nevertheless marries Red. However, when she refuses to give up her career as a journalist, Red resigns. Margaret then comes into contact with John Marsh, a former roommate of Red, who encourages her to become a novelist. The result, much to Margaret's surprise, becomes one of the best-loved novels in American literature.
