The Midnight Story plot
"The strangest manhunt in the history of crime!"
Popular priest Thomasino is murdered in an alley in San Francisco. Despite the police already having some clues, police officer Joe Martini becomes obsessed with this murder case; he must and will find the murderer. Joe suspects Sylvio Malatesta. However, because of his fanaticism, Joe is taken off the case. He then resigns and continues to investigate the murder case. He becomes good friends with the Malatesta family. All nice people, especially the attractive Anna, whom Joe falls in love with. Joe is now getting emotionally involved, loyal to the family and Anna in particular, or at least continue to believe in Sylvio's involvement in the murder of the priest with all the consequences that will entail.
