I agree with what most people say about it, this is a really boring and unfunny movie!
I saw it with a friend, but pretty soon we were chatting more than following, and when we did draw our attention back to it, we didn't even seem to have missed anything.
For a moment, the moment all six of those women got together and started arguing about the funeral, it got funnier. But simply because they behaved in such an exaggerated and unrealistic way.

More drama than comedy indeed, and the message behind the story (about the importance of your family) was presented in an unconvincing way so that it is of no use to you at all.

By the way, I was annoyed that the daughter marries that blonde guy at the end. Seriously, he struck me as the most superficial/uninteresting guy ever...

What a low score here on MM! Okay, this was definitely not a high-flyer and the fact that the father was not dead at all in the end was of course ridiculous. But I still thought it was an entertaining movie. Undecided between 2.5 and 3, but for now give the benefit of the doubt.

3*

And another selection from my colleague's pile for an hour on the cross trainer. I didn't expect much, especially after I saw the cover and title and had films in mind from the same pile such as Music and Lyrics and 50 First Dates. Then why are you looking at it...? Yes, purely because I have it lying around, it is still a comment, but mainly so that I know that the DVD is suitable for sale. Well, here we go again...

The story is clear despite the long feeling flashback surrounding the loss of Henry and all the ladies in his life. It is clear from the start that the man is incorrigible and all the women, who are all a bit crazy and blind, some downright unstable like Ophelia, all fall back into it. The soft spot that many women have for a bad boy that they will tame is confirmed once again, just like the fact that he is always mature and older, yes, certainly. Anyway, the struggle continues, everyone has demands, even letters containing final instructions, and it cannot end in anything other than a witch's cauldron where it has been in line with my expectations from the very first moment that Henry is still alive and a mixup was made. And wow, what a surprise.

And actually the film is quite bad. There is no humor, the ending is as expected, at most Ophelia's antics are still funny, but other than that My Dad's Six Wives has very little to it. Or it must be the fine crowd of beautiful ladies with Andi McDowell, Paz Vega, Jenna Elfman and the stunning Elisha Cutberth. But other than that, this could have been stolen from me and I will forget this very quickly.
