Maxi is a gay chef who runs the successful restaurant Xantarella in Madrid. With the help of his assistant Alex, he hopes to soon be able to obtain a Michelin star. Problems arise, however, when his 15-year-old son Edu and 6-year-old daughter Elba, the result of a previous marriage, suddenly appear on the doorstep when their mother has suddenly died. To make things even more difficult for Maxi, a handsome, Argentinian professional football player comes to live in the house next door.
