The Mating Season plot
"The comedy of the year!!!"
Ellen McNulty sells her burger joint in New Jersey and travels west to pay a surprise visit to her son Val and his new bride Maggie Carleton. When Ellen arrives, her daughter-in-law mistakenly mistook her for the helper she's hired for a big party. Val celebrates this party to impress his employer. Not wanting to cause conflict and embarrassment, Ellen joins in this charade, which, however, leads to many complications.
