A fun action comedy. The story isn't very original and is somewhat predictable. The execution is successful, however. The film is somewhat reminiscent of classic 80s and 90s action films with a touch of humor, like Lethal Weapon. The film does falter a bit halfway through, but overall, it's an entertaining film full of action and humor. The action looks good and is quite crude. The humor, which is mainly verbal, isn't always successful, but there are some funny moments. The chemistry between Bautista and Momoa is excellent. Visually, the film is also quite successful, with beautiful shots of Hawaii. The CGI isn't great, but it's more than adequate. 3.5

A well-made popcorn flick, the story was well-conceived, and Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa did what they do best. And that's demolition, ha! They're perfect for these kinds of movies. I also thought the rest of the cast was good. I definitely thought Claes Bang was a good cast as the main bad guy. The action, and especially the highway scene, could have been a Bad Boys scene, ha. I had a great time with it, definitely worth it if you're into this kind of movie.
