In the port of Sète, the sixties Slimane works in a shipyard. He is divorced and has five children with whom he still has a lot of contact. Slimane does not earn much and his old age makes the heavy work in the shipyard more difficult. He has one dream: to set up his own restaurant. But because of his low wages he already has trouble supporting himself; he doesn't even have any savings to make his dream come true. As time passes and Slimane speaks a lot about his dream out of melancholy, his ex-wife and the children decide to do everything they can to make his dream come true.
