Shadows over Chinatown plot

"Chan follows the trail of a blood-chilling wave of torso slayings!"

Chinese detective Charlie Chan is on his way to San Francisco to investigate a murder case when he meets a woman. That woman, Mrs. Conover, is looking for her missing daughter. Chan also runs into Jeff Tilford, who is looking for his missing fiancée. It turns out that both are looking for the same woman, Mary Conover. Chan also has to deal with a murder gang that collects the insurance money from their victims.
