The film refers in the title to the financial side (and there is a lot to do with that), but what is especially important is the cold atmosphere and mood surrounding a divorce, or when a house is no longer a home or when affection has been replaced by mutual bigotry.
The two children do not fully realize what is happening around them, and for a moment I thought that the irresistible force that emanates from them would achieve what adults themselves are not capable of... However, it turns out differently and ends with an oppressive final scene.
A small downside of the film are some repetitive scenes, but nevertheless an excellent Lafosse, director who has never disappointed me.
Excellent acting. Also from those girls. Very natural.

Tried this movie and it wasn't a bad movie. Not that it is such a grand story, but the film still manages to fascinate. The acting is good and was believable. Other than that the film looked fine.

Not an earth-shattering film, but worth seeing.

With this second absolute success, I think it rises to one on my list of favorite Belgian directors, Joachim Lafosse. Just like in A perde la raison, the acting is incredibly natural. He works sublimely towards some unforgettable core scenes and cuts a number of scenes firmly. It is also wonderful how objectively and at the same time nuanced and comprehensive he can portray a situation such as the one in which the family finds itself, without once clearly choosing a side. Super, proud of this Belgian-made filmmaker! 4.5* for the time being with a chance of an increase.

Furthermore, I completely agree with Kronos, The young girl had already been caught rummaging through mom's drawers to put on jewelry, make-up, ... . So a young girl who wants to make herself beautiful and be like mommy who finds pills in mommy's drawer would be happy to try some. Such a young girl can really be critical of one or more pills for adults with depression, etc. Many medications have a children's version, not without reason.

I see the bed scene mainly as a last attempt to save the relationship, not necessarily for themselves but for their children, one of the reasons why they stay together, the financial aspect seems to me to be just an excuse, partners with young children stay with I think each other plays more clearly.
