Hell's Island plot
Mike Cormack was once a prosecutor, but after his fiancée Janet Martin left him for another man, he turned to drink and lost his job. To recover, Mike takes a job as a bouncer in a casino. Barzland, a disabled criminal, approaches Mike with an unusual offer. Barzland is willing to pay Mike $5,000 if he can locate a ruby that disappeared after a plane crash in the Indian Ocean. Mike discovers the real reason why he was asked for this job. It turns out that Eduardo, the man Janet left Mike for, knows the location of the ruby.
