Inventario Balcanico plot

In this documentary, Gianikian and Lucchi use old found footage to paint a surreal portrait of the Balkans in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. By applying various effects and adding new music, the images take on a heightened mood and meaning. The filmmakers thus make the various passages joyful, ominous and tragic.
