"There's only one way out."
A professional hit man (Nicolas Cage) stays in Bangkok to do some odd jobs. But that turns out to be more difficult than expected, and he encounters the necessary resistance. Then he falls for a local beauty and has to befriend one of his few confidants.

Pretty good movie, entertaining and a bit better than expected.
I was expecting a pure action movie, but it's not that bad. The romance was very nicely done, and gives the film something of its own. The atmosphere was good.
The film is a bit unbalanced because of that, in terms of story it is just average.

Bangkok Dangerous, somehow a very well-known title and something that I associated a bit with a name like John Woo. But no, not Woo, and not special either, just say not interesting.
The beginning is nice with the stoic Cage who explains his working method and what the sacrifices are for it, also the ruthlessness with which he cleans up servants. However, everything changes in Bangkok and the so-called 'turn' couldn't be more incredible as far as I'm concerned, just like bumbling romance.
No, it's not all that great and the action, some fairly tense moments and the surprising ending can't help that. The story and the characters lack content too much and I also miss some neo-noir and atmosphere.
