Dudley Moore was surely one of the nicer comedy actors and he proves that again in this film, which has already rightly been noted is that he can play drunk like no other and also comes across very convincing and natural.
There are some silly jokes in the film but luckily the film doesn't go too far in this, it's just that little bit extra to make the film a bit lighter and easier to digest.
The scene that he is finally in bed with her but finds out that his fantasy is not as special as he had in mind I found very fitting for the film and you feel as a viewer Moore's awkwardness very sharply.

10 may not be a very special or original film, but Moore's acting talent and Bo Derek's beauty make this film more than worth watching.

3.5*

If this movie was made with a real actress in the lead role, it really was in the late 1970s. Bo Derek was a beautiful woman, but she only adds her beauty to this film and that scene on the beach is of course legendary, but that's about it as far as her contribution is concerned. Moore has to carry the film, but he can't do it on his own because he only excels when he has to play drunk, I sometimes wondered if he wasn't just drunk then. Andrews and Webber are a bit disappointing, but a nice supporting role for Dennehy.

A big plus was the music, with the highlight of course being Ravel's Bolero. That makes the film a three from me.

What I remember about this movie is that I found Dudley Moore to be very annoying, and that Bo Derek had a rather repulsive airheaded look. And that the story was too bland for words.

Well, things change every now and then, so I thought I'd take a new look. And yes, Moore is only slightly annoying now and then. Bo Derek on the other hand is almost even more empty-headed than I had in my head, and I really can't think of her as beautiful. Still, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was, and I even noticed that I had a faint smile on my face every now and then.

Apart from that there is really little to report, and I still really don't think it's a good film. Note to self: just skip that next viewing in twenty or thirty years, you won't miss anything.
