"CORNELL WOOLRICH'S sizzling shocker!"
Tom and Ann are a busy dance team; while Tom takes orders, Ann works as an instructor at a dance academy, where the detective Judd is one of her many clients. One hot summer day Tom throws his shoes at 2 noisy cats and Ann finds them at her door but also a dead hermit. Tom is eventually charged with suspicion, and Ann turns to Detective Judd for help to prove Tom's innocence.
