After Bea Pullman's husband passed away, Bea and her daughter Jessie struggle financially. Then Delilah Johnson knocks on their door, who offers to work as a housekeeper in exchange for a living space for her and her daughter. Delilah turns out to be able to make fantastic pancakes and with her recipe Delilah and Bea become rich.
