A mediocre film in which a woman tries to recover with her husband and a friend after her discharge from a psychiatric hospital. This subtle horror film is a bit on the dull side (the final part picks up pace a bit). At times it is somewhat atmospheric, and the main character's thoughts conveyed through the voice-over work particularly well.

Decent, but it didn't look like it at first. Up until 10 minutes before the end, I already had a failing grade (2.0*) ready for this until then uninteresting little horror thriller, but fortunately the last 10 minutes made up for a lot. At least then it became somewhat of a horror film. Visually, however, I found this to be quite a letdown. Not a shadow of the excellent and very atmospheric horror short film "Symptoms," with which this film is sometimes compared. Completely unjustly, I think.

Rating: barely 3 stars.

Cool movie, though, and also a bit elusive. Some of the dialogue felt unnatural in a way I couldn't quite pinpoint. Was it meant to be funny, mysterious, or just terribly bad? I don't know, but it certainly intrigued me.

You never really know what is real and what is just playing out in Jessica's head anyway. At first you think that only she sees those ghosts, but then others see them too – or is that her fantasy as well? Not necessarily original, of course, but well done. You see such a totally unreliable narrator quite often in literature, but in film it is actually trickier, and here it worked excellently.

The title and the trailer promised something totally different from what you get, so I understand the disappointment of some here. This isn't exactly a crowd-pleaser, but for me, it was an unexpected hit.
