"Never underestimate the power of an underestimated woman."
Immoral scrap metal magnate Harry Brock comes to Washington with his mistress Billy. Harry is ashamed to take his illiterate mistress into the highest circles of the city. He hires journalist Paul to give Billy private lessons. Billy learns quickly. In return, she gives Paul lessons in love. By the time Brock realizes what is going on between the two it is too late, Billy realizes what Harry is and what her rights are.
