"A romance on the brink of reality."
Benny works in a garage and struggles to find a helper to care for his mentally handicapped sister Joon. Unsupervised, Joon sets things on fire or explodes in public. When Benny loses a poker game, he has to take in a friend's cousin. This Sam also has strange traits, but easily gets in touch with Joon. When Benny sees how well Sam and Joon get along, he feels a little left out.

Brought this one because this was one I haven't seen with Johnny Depp. It turned out to be a pretty special film, but I thought it was worth watching. The film also has a nice soundtrack and the cast is certainly not bad.
Maybe not the most famous movie (I had never heard of it myself) by Johnny Depp, but if you don't want to see him as a pirate, you've come to the right place.

What a busy emotionally full film!.
There is quite a lot coming at you, now and then a laugh but also a lot of intense drama.
Benny & Joon is a good movie but... it might also be too full and too ambitious.
I'm not quite sure yet.
