So I was really happy about this. Of course those trolls are also childhood sentiment for me (growing up in the 90s my room was full of those trolls). Trolls is colorful and entertaining and a great film to watch for both young and old. I always prefer to see a slightly deeper meaning in animation films, which gives the film even more value, but in any case it is a must to watch.

3.5*

7/10 (IMDB)

Still one of the least Dreamworks ever.

Way too happy, way too much singing, shitty humor and too many uninteresting characters.

Come and find me good in that grumpy guy, Mjah he suddenly has to walk happily at the end.

Very psychedelic, pleasing to the eye.

But that's about it. 3.5/10

This really didn't make me happy, my daughter all the more. Primarily a film for children, less for adults I think. I got it on my hips from those trolls. Singing, dancing and cuddling, as if there is nothing else in their empty existence. Not so. Hoping for a mass extermination of those pesky creatures, we looked further. The only one who could arouse some sympathy was grumbling troll. Lots of similarities with the Smurfs by the way, just in a different package.

The songs were boring and appeared out of place. Luckily they didn't last too long. The village of the Bergen was quite nicely animated. The strange creatures in the forest were also quite pleasant. That very annoying cloud as an exception then. But that maid with the majesty's romance took the film to an even deeper level. The story didn't amount to much either, so yes, there isn't much left.

Trolls is a very busy movie with constant wailing, dancing and jumping with flashy colors and animation. Glad it's over...
