Ferdinand is a small bull who prefers to lie quietly under a cork tree and take in the scent of the flowers rather than jumping around and playing with other bulls. When Ferdinand grows up and turns into a big strong bull, he continues to have a soft temperament. But when five men arrive one day to choose the biggest, fastest and toughest bull for a bullfight in Madrid, Ferdinand is wrongly chosen.

Tried this one and it was actually better than expected. I didn't really have great expectations, but it was worth watching. It was still an amusing film for young and old. The story wasn't boring either.
The movie also looked good and the songs fit the story well.
Still one of the better animated films.

Solid animation film that does not add anything new in itself. The story is pretty standard, but the setting about the bullfights is fascinating. A film with a message. Not everyone is what society imposes on you. You are who you are because it makes you feel good.
Touching and funny, a nice mix woven into the film. Quite enjoyed it. Ideal film for children, but adults can also indulge themselves here. So more than decent!

The story is set in barbaric Spain, where the horror of the toreo is a socially accepted pastime to this day. Ferdinand is an amiable bull who lives on love and can appreciate lush flowers. He is not thanked for that in the hard bull world, where the tough, yet ignorant bulls dream of the ring. The animation of the bulls and the Lipizzaners (wonderful characters by the way) was nicely made, but I found it a bit disappointing that for some other animals, such as the hedgehogs, people went too much on the fantasy tour. At a certain point it all went out with animals dancing and driving a car. Then it got a bit too childish for me, but the feel good ending was okay with me. Ultimately a beautiful film for young and old with an important theme.
