Wings in the Dark plot

Sheila Mason is a fearless pilot. She marries engineer Ken Gordon, who is blinded by an accident while inventing a new kind of airplane engine. He decides to become a writer, but he does not get a job that way. However, this is hidden from him by Sheila, who herself starts flying increasingly dangerous missions in order to continue paying the bills.
