In the mid-nineteenth century, all doors seem closed to the young, invalid Margarete Steiff. But the optimistic Margarete perseveres and, with the help of her brother, she succeeds time and again in getting people interested in her creative ideas. After a failed love, Margarete becomes world famous with her fabric stuffed animals.
