"To save his planet, an alien must find a woman on Earth to have his baby. There's just one problem."
To save his planet, the space creature Harold must go to Earth to find a woman with whom he can father a child. On the planet he passed the exam on approaching and dealing with women as the best, but once on earth he finds out that the handbook on women was not quite complete after all.

Oh right, Garry Shandling. He was a fairly well-known comedian back then, perhaps mainly because of that TV show bearing his name. A sort of precursor to Seinfeld, and later he also came out with a sort of parody of those kinds of shows. Strange, really, that he has apparently faded so far from the collective memory.
Just like this movie. Yes, it's all very corny, but the large and fine cast is having fun with it, and that actually makes it a funny thing to watch.
It's a shame Fiorentino only has such a small role – I came across the film because of her name. And as for Kingsley, you'd expect a bit more from him, too.
