Pryamokhozhdenie plot
Bipedalism, 'bipedalism', tells the story of a painter who grew up in an orphanage, only to learn more about his father's disappearance and death many years later. The memories of his childhood take the protagonist to the past. He buys a house in a suburb that once belonged to the family. In the basement, he finds his father's archive, containing scientific research into the intersection of the human race with related biological species. While studying the material, he comes across surprising evidence that attempts are being made to revive the experiments on the remaining hybrid population. In this way the painter becomes a researcher, and then a victim. His father's original idea was to change, control and influence the process of human evolution.
