Herr Zwilling und Frau Zuckermann plot

Double portrait of Herr Zwilling and Frau Zuckermann, who both experienced the great European tragedies of the twentieth century and who persistently keep each other company in their old age in their daily cultural exchange. They meet every evening to keep up their knowledge of the German language. They are part of the small group of Jews from present-day Ukrainian Czernotwitz that survived the German concentration camps.
