Seismologist Alice Bradley is brought to her hometown of Baie-Comeau in Quebec to investigate why the tides are so messed up there. Together with her colleague Catherine Rolland and the flamboyant pilot Marc Vandal, she discovers that the strange behavior of the sea has to do with the strange behavior of the inhabitants of the village.
