Inspector Clouseau plot
"Put Clouseau on another case? They wouldn't dare!"
A series of Swiss bank robberies is investigated by a Scotland Yard inspector, who becomes enraged when clumsy Inspector Clouseau gets involved. Meanwhile, the robbers create more chaos by wearing Clouseau masks during other robberies.

Average comedy from the well-known series with Arkin as Clouseau instead of Sellers. Edwards co-wrote it. For the fans a rare outsider that nowhere reaches the level of Sellers' Clouseau.

Alan Arkin is not too bad as Clouseau, but he can't fill Sellers' shoes. Visually it is beautiful with England in the '60s. The problem is mainly in the script and the dialogues. With Sellers, those gaps could have been filled by his facial expressions, but Arkin has trouble with it. Although with a better script he could have made it something pleasant. No wonder this is a somewhat forgotten film in the Pink Panther series.
