Le Colonel Chabert plot
Colonel Chabert (Gérard Depardieu) was so badly injured during the Napoleonic war of the French against the Russians that the medical examiner signed his death certificate. However, if he survives his injuries, he returns to Paris. There he discovers that his wife Anne has remarried Count Ferraud. She uses Chabert's money to increase the count's power. With the help of attorney Derville, Chabert tries to reclaim his money and his honor.
