Quirt Evans, a bad gunfighter, arrives wounded and dead at the Worth family farm. Against the doctor's advice, the daughter of the house, Penelope, decides to nurse him. She explains to him her family's creed and nonviolent way of life. The girl even falls in love with him. When two desperados arrive in search of Quirt, he must choose between his own world or hers.
