Lots of bad reviews here, but I still think this is an entertaining film, with a nice plot and nice use of the winter locations, and as big pluses great roles by Brian Cox , as is often the case as an unscrupulous villain ("If someone is going down for this, it is not going to be I !") and the always strong Morgan Freeman who for a long time remains in the middle whether he is good or bad or a bit of both (always nice, such a dubious character) and who gets the FBI dance at the end. Not a masterpiece, but quite entertaining.

Bland action thriller.

From the time when people still thought that hydrogen would become the great successor to petroleum. Some extra science is added, money and ideology clash and everything is ready for a simple thriller with some action scenes in between.

Reeves is really completely inept in this movie, often uncontrollably even. He's way too goofy for this role, maybe he should have tried better as a comedy actor. The rest of the cast isn't great either, but admittedly, they don't have much to work with either.

Visually not very interesting, a soundtrack without salt and a fairly flat story. Thanks in part to the action scenes, it is still manageable, but this is not exactly a high flyer.

Weak.

Thirteen-in-a-dozen action thriller. Also a product of its time - in everything. The clumsy Keanu Reeves is once again lost, but so are a lot of his colleagues. The film has little to do with it. Simple sidesteps about corruption, etc. should provide some sharper edges, but you can see that coming. The playing time, fortunately, remains well below the 2 hour limit - even then this is not too short.
