Into the Blue plot
"Treasure has its price."
In the deep, shark-infested waters of the Bahamas, four young divers accidentally discover a legendary shipwreck that is said to be buried millions of euros in gold. They think their dreams of finding a hidden treasure have come true. But when they also find a plane wreck near the ship with illegal cargo, they run into problems. The cargo belongs to a large drug trafficker.

Into the Blue
Reasonable movie. Beautiful locations, beautiful underwater scenes, Jessica Alba… It's not a terrible movie to watch. Unfortunately, less attention has been paid to the script. It's not all that much and it takes a long time before it gets exciting. The film slowly ripples along without any urgency or tension. Only at the last minute does the film get going, but by then it is already too late.

Yes, the movie does draw some crowds for a few reasons, Walker and Alba in bikinis. Alba is a picture here, although her acting skills are nothing to write home about. She's really only there for her looks.
The film has beautiful underwater scenes that help the film up a bit. The story is pretty standard and the action is a bit boring. You've had it with a few beautiful underwater action scenes. Brolin isn't particularly busy either.
Walker does a decent job, but doesn't win the film for me. Mwa acting, beautiful underwater images and ok action. I would have liked a little more nature in it, such as more sharks or more the Bahamas, beautiful country.
All in all, a decent film that is not really special anywhere. Nice to see in the summer.

Into the Blue is a fine action film by the books. I don't know how to get naughty anywhere and therefore regularly had some yawning moments for me.
