Sahara plot
"Adventure has a new destination."
Dirk Pitt is sent on an impossible mission to Africa. He finds himself involved in an ingenious but gruesome plot by a ruthless French industrialist and a West African dictator. An epidemic and a poison scandal pose a direct threat to all life on Earth. Pitt is captured by a hostile tribe, escapes in a sensational fashion and finds himself on foot and with a minimal ration of water on the edge of the Sahara. And there is no going back.

With a nice cast that also played well together, Sahara contains a fair amount of action and the necessary humor. The story is nothing special but as a total picture entertains the film. The film is nice to have seen once, but I don't think it's more than that.
