"Be home before nightfall... and pray for dawn!"
Two girls spend the weekend in a peaceful village. The somewhat crazy grandmother of one of them lives there. They are intrigued by the large collection of crosses the old lady has constructed. In addition, the house is lit by hundreds of candles. During a secret swim in the submerged cellar vault of the village church, one of the girls is dragged into the water by a vampire-like amphibian. A village away, a priest tries to drown his terrible secret with liters of alcohol...
