"Never was a treasure so sought after, an adventure so unforgettable, a friendship so unexpected."

Glenna (Dee Wallace-Stone) struggles to keep the farm going, and she is disturbed that her son is living almost entirely in his fantasy. His grandfather doesn't help either, telling him tall tales from the days when Jesse James buried a treasure of silver in their state. However, during a severe storm, a 1732 pirate captain arrives at their farm, having been ousted by his crew during a mutiny. Unlike other adults, this pirate wants to go on a treasure hunt with the boy so they can go on an adventure together.
