Ugly animations.
But not only that, unfortunately.
The humor is also very bland and the story very standard. The film is by no means bad, but more appealing to the little ones. With some exceptions, of course.
It didn't appeal to me much.

Normally I hate CGI but this movie is nice. Although the animation has dreary graphics, the story is very good. The voices of Ewan McGregor and John Hurt are very, very good. The music is nice. All in all, a very good movie. Which I've seen (too) often but a while ago.

Meh. A film with an amusing premise and a nice setting, but very little innovative is done. In the end Valiant is a decent animation, where all the clichés of the genre come by. Also difficult to discover which target group exactly the makers want to address; the winks and references to the Second World War, the resistance and well-known war films will not be of much interest to the youngest viewers, but adults will quickly have seen it when a pigeon flies against a wall for the umpteenth time or two pigeons collide with each other. But despite the fact that the makers only color within the lines, the film does a good job in terms of voice casting. John Cleese and Tim Curry in particular are excellent acquisitions. And also visually it is cared for. Especially the chase between eagles and pigeons during a big storm over a raging ocean looks fine. But the special thing about Valiant has also been discussed with that.
