Although I really liked Chicken Run, and also saw some funny Shaun the Sheep movies (but not the feature film), I somehow never really done behind this movie by the same makers.

Wrongly, because it is a very nice film. A lot of eye for details, in my opinion even more than Chicken Run, especially the crazy inventions are a feast for the eyes, but also things like the priest's greenhouse including a wall consisting of glass in lead. The designs in general are strong, especially the rabbits look very comical.

Furthermore, a not too deep story to hang all the craziness on. It's nice that the structure of a horror film is used, including a lot of clichés, which become funny in the context of this film. Also a lot of references to other movies like King Kong, especially in the later part.

It's all sweet, fun, innocent and entertaining. Perhaps half a bit more with a revision, but for now a very big 4 *. And now look for the feature film by Shaun the Sheep!

This was an entertaining movie. A simple, yet captivating story with lots of winks. The film contains a lot of humor for young and old and the animations were beautiful.

A nice movie.

Lady Campanula Tottington [Helen Bonham Carter] enlists the help of inventor Wallace [Peter Sallis] and his trusty dog Gromit to figure out how to stop rabbits from vandalizing her garden in the run-up to prestigious annual competition for the most beautiful and largest vegetables . Wallace gets a competitor from Victor Quartermaine [Ralph Fiennes] who thinks he can solve the problem in a completely different way. Wallace's rushed search for the perfect invention results in the title 'curse', leaving Gromit to save the case (again). Made using traditional time-consuming stop-motion techniques, the result will certainly not disappoint fans of the Oscar-winning shorts that preceded this full-length family film, as it's full of inventive ideas and pleasantly eccentric characters.
