Simon Ashby is a wealthy nutcase who lives in a mansion with his possessive aunt and unstable sister, Eleanor. In three weeks they will receive the inheritance from their deceased parents, but Simon prefers the money for himself. One day Simon's missing brother suddenly shows up at the door, but Ashby and his aunt are convinced that the man is an impostor.

A decent film about a brother and sister who are surprised when their deceased brother suddenly reappears. The plot perhaps has a few too many twists, especially considering the short running time. The somewhat eccentric characters are portrayed entertainingly (especially Oliver Reed's overly dramatic performance). Excellent cinematography with some beautiful shots. Easily 3.0 stars.

This one started playing after "Dracula," so I watched it right away. This one was also in black and white.
A charming psychological thriller about a sister driven mad by her brother because he wants her inheritance. When their deceased brother suddenly "returns," a real game of cat and mouse begins.
A bit too many twists and turns and little suspense. Fortunately, the quirky characters are portrayed entertainingly with plenty of overacting.
