Perhaps not exactly Helen Hunt's first credit for this TV movie. But it is likely the first film in which she stars. So it is somewhat surprising that I get to write the first post for this film.

But here goes. It might not be truly groundbreaking, and the outcome is of course predictable from the start, but that shouldn't come as a surprise for this type of production. Still, Hunt does a very decent job, and it is quite clear that she has much more to offer than this rather dull role. The same goes for Daphne Zuniga; for her, I believe this is truly her first real role as the sister who remains in the shadow of the firstborn. In that respect, the story has just a bit more depth than you might expect, and the ending fits that perfectly. Just like the warmth of the team and the classmates, who, as is often the case, see no problem with anything while their parents are fuming.

Back then it was about that, now it's about something else again. Some people apparently need to be against something.
